Job Summary
Architect end-to-end monitoring solutions for high-availability payment networks, including backbone, edge, cloud, and data center environments. Design and implement real-time observability pipelines using tools like ThousandEyes, LogicMonitor, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, Splunk, and custom telemetry frameworks. Define network SLAs, KPIs, and SLOs aligned with payment transaction performance and regulatory compliance. Lead root cause analysis and incident forensics through advanced correlation of logs, flows, and metrics. Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure monitoring meets PCI-DSS and other regulatory standards. Drive automation and AI/ML-based anomaly detection to proactively identify and mitigate network issues. Mentor engineers and influence architectural decisions across the broader infrastructure team.
Required Qualifications
- Deep understanding of payment network requirements: low latency, deterministic routing, high availability, and compliance
- Expertise in SNMP, NetFlow/IPFIX, sFlow, streaming telemetry, and packet-level analysis
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, DataDog, Wireshark, and custom-built solutions
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, REST APIs, Ansible, Terraform as well as Jenkins)
- Familiarity with cloud-native networking and monitoring (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Be skilled at explaining technical problems succinctly and clearly
- Be a strong, confident, and exacting writer and speaker, able to communicate your vision and roadmap effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders
- Always look for potential solutions to solve problems
- Abide by Mastercard's security policies and practices
- Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed
- Report any suspected information security violation or breach
- Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard's guidelines
