Job Summary
Principal Independent Peer Review Assessor to conduct independent-peer-review of safety documents and policy, examine Site Safety Justification and Safety Cases, assess methodology and completeness, manage external consultants as lead assessor, present findings to the Nuclear Safety Committee, and contribute to IPR strategy and reporting; hybrid work arrangement with typically 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days from home; requires degree in a scientific/engineering discipline, Chartered accreditation, and ability to obtain/maintain SC security clearance; Naval Base/submarine engineering familiarity advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in an appropriate Scientific or Engineering discipline
- Chartered accreditation by an appropriate Professional Institution
- NUC0793 Nuclear Plant Foundation Course Module 1 (or equivalent)
- NUC0794 Nuclear Fundamentals (Foundation) Course Module 2 (or equivalent)
- NUC0911 Introduction to Safety Engineering (Babcock are happy to put you through this)
- Security clearance ability to achieve and maintain SC clearance
