Job Summary
Principal-in-Charge/Vice President for Urban Development at Huitt-Zollars, Inc., Rio Rancho office. Full-time, in-office role (40 hours weekly) requiring a registered Professional Engineer in New Mexico with at least 15 years of experience. Responsibilities include leading as Lead Principal-in-Charge and Senior Project Manager on key projects, identifying contacts and opportunities for new work, training and mentoring staff, growing the Federal and Institutional group, resource management for project delivery, client interface, proposals and scope/fee negotiations, monthly forecasting and client cost estimates, and ensuring quality controls and on-time/project delivery. Focus areas include business development, project framework planning, design/construction drawing preparation, team leadership, and ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets, with emphasis on customer satisfaction and formal reporting. Required Qualifications
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed PE in New Mexico
- Minimum 15 years of experience
- 8 years of project management experience
- Experience with producing accurate and complete construction plans and reports
- Ability to work independently in a team environment and manage multiple projects with limited supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to train/mentor staff and review work for quality assurance
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D is a plus
