Senior Principal Highways Engineer responsible for technical leadership, providing specialized input to design and studies, and guiding multidisciplinary teams on Main Roads WA projects within a flexible, hybrid-work environment. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality, cost-effective design and project procedures, coordinating interdisciplinary work, preparing proposals and tenders, performing quality control on calculations and drawings, and contributing to engineering budgets and schedules. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Chartered Engineer status (CPEng), 15+ years of highway/infrastructure design experience, strong client-facing skills, and prior experience with Main Roads WA standards. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) – Engineers Australia
- 15+ years’ experience in highway and major infrastructure design
- Demonstrated experience working with Main Roads WA projects and standards
- Proven track record leading multidisciplinary design teams in a consultancy environment
- Strong commercial awareness and client-facing capability
