Job Summary
Principal Heritage Consultant who will manage archaeology projects in the South East, lead fieldwork from planning through delivery, and contribute to client liaison and business development. Based in either the Cambridge or Bristol offices, the role emphasizes high-quality project delivery, health and safety/risk awareness on fieldwork, and ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team to support heritage and infrastructure projects. The team covers archaeology, built heritage, setting and design across the UK and Ireland, with responsibilities including RAMS oversight, tender design, desk-based assessments, stakeholder liaison, and promoting service offerings to clients.
Required Qualifications
- Experience of archaeological fieldwork project management
- Robust knowledge of Ireland archaeology and history
- Full knowledge of planning process and relevant environmental/heritage legislation and guidance
- Experience in heritage and planning, masterplanning, heritage conservation, heritage led-regeneration, recreation and tourism, heritage sustainability masterplanning, placemaking, multi-disciplinary collaboration and business development
- Excellent writing skills; strong communication and teamwork
