Principal Hardware Engineer, Display

Job Summary
Develop display LCD modules and electronic driving boards for automotive applications, including review of customer technical requirements and preparation of technical quotations for RFI/RFQ. Collaborate with mechanical teams to optimize display solutions and act as the technical bridge between internal teams and suppliers to manage RFQs, development, and troubleshooting. Design high-speed video signal circuits using LVDS, MIPI, and eDP, while performing simulation, verification testing, and EMC analysis to meet customer specifications. Manage display supplier chains, conduct co-audits with sourcing and quality teams, and define hardware specifications with a focus on cost structure and supply chain optimization. Requires a Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering, 6+ years of automotive display engineering experience, and willingness to travel 10% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree, Major in electronic engineering, electrical automation or related
- Good command for display HW design from total display system perspective
- 6+ years experience on automotive Display engineering design and project delivery experiences
- expert in HW design and the verification test for Automotive Display
- With good mindset of cost structure and supply chain, and be able to support VAVE on display HW driving board design
- Experience with HW design verification, qualification and EMC test
- Good in English and Communication skill
- Familiar with one or two HW circuit simulation tools
- Good command of high speed video signals simulation, design and the design verification test
- Good command of display sub material and the characteristics
- Willingness to travel 10% of the time
- Be able to support oversea travelling
- Must be diligent and detail oriented
- Must be flexible in work hours to meet project timelines
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred with display component and display HW design background
- Good experiences with display technique and the stack up
- Familiar with display optical parameters and measurement
- Familiar with display sub material and the characteristics will be preferred, such as lens, film, polarizer and the film stack up in backlight, which can support cost and performance optimization by the capability from cross domains
- Bonus Points if You Have Experience with display product on automotive application
- Experience with display HW driving board design
- Experience with automotive product development
