Job Summary
Principal Full Stack Software Engineer on one of our subcontracts to support a U.S. Government customer. Leads full-stack development focused on backend web services and servers, with exposure to open-source integrations and cloud technologies. Requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and U.S. Citizenship. Location is Annapolis Junction, MD with partial telework (16 hours/week) after acclimation; role emphasizes stable, mission-focused software delivery, cutting-edge tech, and opportunities for professional growth. The position involves working within an enterprise/cyber security space, delivering high-availability distributed systems, and collaborating with talented engineering teams. Tech emphasis includes Java/SpringBoot, JavaScript, REST, MongoDB, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and related tools; desired exposure to UI frameworks (React, Angular, Node, Svelt) and ancillary tools (Confluence, Jira, Maven, Git). Required Qualifications
- Active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship
- 20+ years Software Engineering experience
- BS degree in Computer Science or related (or four years of additional SWE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s)
- Works well independently as well as on a team
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with open-source integrations and tools (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, Rancher, Tomcat, Spring, JMS, AWS)
- Technical stack: Java threading, SpringBoot, JavaScript, JMS, MongoDB, AWS, REST, Docker, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Cockroach DB or other RDBMS
- Desired: Kibana, Alfresco, Content Management tools, Node, Svelt, React, Angular, Confluence, Jira, Maven, Git
