Principal Fire Engineer

Job Summary
Lead and deliver complex fire engineering projects from inception through completion, developing fire strategies for new-build and existing buildings. Undertake fire safety engineering analyses, including evacuation modelling, smoke control assessments, and performance-based design solutions. Provide expert advice on compliance with UK Building Regulations and review technical reports and design documentation. Liaise with architects, developers, contractors, and approval authorities while acting as a technical lead and mentor for junior engineers. Contribute to business development activities, including client engagement and tender submissions, and represent the business at industry events. Maintain awareness of evolving legislation and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- A background in fire engineering preferably within a consultancy environment
Desired Qualifications
- Ideally be or working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer
