Job Summary
Provide wide range of financial management and comptroller support for AF TENCAP, USAF, and FMS programs. Execute Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) tasks including budget formulation, execution, monitoring, analysis, reporting, oversight, and internal control reviews. Independently load budgets, prepare obligation and expenditure forecasts, initiate Purchase Requests, monitor funds execution, and complete fiscal year-end closeout activities. Verify financial system data accuracy, reconcile temporary duty targets, and conduct research on unliquidated obligations. Maintain Program Acquisition Documents and track funding document status until obligated. Communicate corrective actions for discrepancies across multiple Air Force organizations, contracting officers, and Defense agencies. This role supports the Air Force Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities Program Office in Colorado Springs, CO, focusing on rapid prototyping and capability demonstration for operational and tactical applications.
Required Qualifications
- US citizen
- Top Secret clearance
- Masters or Doctorate Degree in a related field and 20 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, 12 years of which must be in the DoD
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 25 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 15 years of which must be in the DoD
- Expertise in DoD financial management processes, appropriation law, and Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE)
- Advanced proficiency with Air Force financial systems including CCaRs, CRIS, ABSS, FM Suite, SDW, DEAMS, GAFS/BQ, WAWF, MOCAS, PIEE, and CMCS
- Strong capability in budget formulation, execution monitoring, obligation/expenditure forecasting, ULO/NULO research, and fiscal year-end closeout procedures
- Skilled in financial reconciliation, accounting data validation, and resolving discrepancies across multiple systems and DoD agencies
- Experience preparing financial documentation and program reports aligned with DoD and Air Force regulations (DoDD 5000.1, DoDI 5000.02, DAFI 65 series, AFMC guidance, DFAS regulations)
- Must be available for 10% travel
