Job Summary
Create and deliver technical training programs for global field service engineers and hospital biomed staff on Medtronic cranial and spine medical device repair and maintenance. Develop course curricula, materials, and measurements for X-ray and imaging products, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to update training content, design online modules, and coordinate instructor-led sessions at the Lafayette, CO facility, requiring full-time presence for at least two weeks monthly. Manage course preparations, facility setups, and documentation while providing feedback to trainees and managers. Conduct Certified Instructor programs and assist with technical support for product users, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of troubleshooting procedures and clinical technology.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of engineering, technical training or troubleshooting experience
- Associate's Degree with 6+ years of engineering, technical training or troubleshooting experience
- Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of engineering, technical training or troubleshooting experience
- Must be able to be located close to the facility in Lafayette, CO
- Must be willing to be at the facility full time a minimum of 2 weeks per month
- Must be able to travel domestically or internationally up to 25%
- U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience servicing electromechanical systems for imaging equipment such as x-ray, mammography, and gamma ray systems
- Previous experience in field service or factory engineering in the medical device industry
- Direct experience with Cranial and Spine products such as imaging systems
- Experience developing content and delivering technical training
- Familiarity with Articulate
- Familiarity with commonly used test equipment (i.e.: power supplies, DVM's, signal generators, dosimeters, flow meters, etc.)
- Ability to read and understand schematics and engineering drawings
- Familiar with the FDA 21 CFR, CGMP for Medical device
- Advanced education in Electrical Engineering or Scientific discipline or similar related field
- Biomedical Engineering background or equivalent
- Mechanical, electrical, and Windows based computer experience providing technical support & services
- Healthcare/surgical setting experience
- Familiarity with state regulations for imaging equipment
- Ability to function well under pressure and expend effort to meet schedules and deadlines
- Adept with the use of basic hand tools and mechanical and electronic devices
