Job Summary
Create and deliver technical training programs for global field service engineers and hospital biomed staff on Medtronic cranial and spine medical device repair and maintenance. Develop course curricula, instructor guides, and video tutorials while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards. Conduct instructor-led training sessions at the Lafayette, CO facility for a minimum of two weeks per month, managing facility setup and documenting attendance. Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of imaging systems and troubleshoot product issues, providing feedback to drive continuous improvement in training effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of engineering, technical training or troubleshooting experience
- Associate's Degree with 6+ years of engineering, technical training or troubleshooting experience
- Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of engineering, technical training or troubleshooting experience
- Must be able to be located close to the facility in Lafayette, CO
- Must be willing to travel to the facility full time a minimum of 2 weeks per month
- Must be able to function well under pressure and expend effort to meet schedules and deadlines
- Ability to read and understand schematics and engineering drawings
- Familiarity with the FDA 21 CFR, CGMP for Medical device
- Familiarity with state regulations for imaging equipment
- Ability to function well under pressure and expend effort to meet schedules and deadlines
- Adept with the use of basic hand tools and mechanical and electronic devices
- U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience servicing electromechanical systems for imaging equipment such as x-ray, mammography, and gamma ray systems
- Previous experience in field service or factory engineering in the medical device industry
- Direct experience with Cranial and Spine products such as imaging systems
- Experience developing content and delivering technical training
- Familiarity with Articulate
- Familiarity with commonly used test equipment (i.e.: power supplies, DVM's, signal generators, dosimeters, flow meters, etc.)
- Biomedical Engineering background or equivalent
- Mechanical, electrical, and Windows based computer experience providing technical support & services
- Healthcare/surgical setting experience
- Advanced education in Electrical Engineering or Scientific discipline or similar related field
