Job Summary
Principal Field Applications Engineer in Taiwan responsible for pre- and post-sales support for SiMa.ai MLSoC solutions. Responsibilities include identifying sales opportunities, developing and delivering technical proposals, creating hardware and software demos, guiding customers through their design processes, providing onsite support to resolve real-time issues, training customers and distributors, supporting marketing activities, and collaborating with partners to drive design wins. Requires a BS in computer science or electrical engineering with 12+ years of experience, strong English communication skills, and experience with customer engagements, hardware/software collaboration, and solving complex, cross-functional problems. Preferred background includes selling into robotics, surveillance, autonomous systems and automotive markets or vision applications, and familiarity with embedded processor systems, ARM SoCs, and computer vision.
Required Qualifications
- BS in computer science or electrical engineering
- 12+ years of experience
- English language proficiency with excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience with customer engagements and ability to communicate at a high system and deep technical level
- Experience working on problems with diverse scope and evaluating multiple factors to reach solutions
- Ability to perform complex work on a wide range of difficult problems and exercise initiative
- Experience working with hardware and software groups
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and willingness to continuously learn
- Experience selling into robotics, surveillance, autonomous systems and automotive markets or vision applications
- Understanding of embedded processor systems and architectures
- Experience enabling ML solutions for cloud or embedded applications
- Arm SoC and computer vision exposure and experience
