Job Summary
Teach didactic and clinical courses, develop syllabi, and coordinate rotations while evaluating student performance. Manage clinical site relationships, advise preceptors, and conduct academic advising during office hours. Lead curriculum development, program evaluation, and accreditation self-study efforts. Recruit faculty and preceptors, orient staff, and participate in university committees and ceremonies. Maintain current evidence-based medicine knowledge and engage in scholarship activities. Work a full-time hybrid schedule Monday through Friday with one release day, including potential early morning, evening, and weekend availability.
Required Qualifications
- knowledge of educational, management, and adult learning theory and principles
- ability to administer, assess, and document programmatic education trends and data
- minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a practicing provider
- graduate of an accredited PA program or have related health degree (MD/PhD/NP/DO)
- minimum of a master's degree
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification if a physician assistant
- current PA, NP, MD, or DO license
- eligibility to achieve licensure within one (1) year of hire
- physically able to remain seated frequently
- physically able to remain standing up to 15% of the time
- dexterity abilities required to perform typing, operate a computer and other office equipment
