Job Summary
Principal Facility Process Engineer responsible for designing and evaluating chemical/process-gas/water/ultra-pure water systems, including piping design for transmission of ultra-pure water, specialty gases, and chemicals. Drives studies, design, and project execution, evaluates bids and subcontractor information, supports operations and maintenance, performs FMEA, leads field measurements (flows, pressures), coordinates cross-disciplinary design efforts, and provides guidance for startup, optimization, and restoration during outages. Requires a BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of direct experience, CAD capability (AutoCAD), strong Excel/VB skills, and familiarity with process design and regulatory compliance. Location: Austin, TX; on-site with potential field work in hazardous environments. EIT or PE preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
- minimum of 5 years of direct experience
- Working knowledge of statistical analysis software
- AutoCAD experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (and capacity to learn Visual Basic)
