Job Summary
Lead strategy and development for multiple products and technologies across the portfolio, architecting and governing agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows to improve delivery speed and operational outcomes at scale. Design, develop, and deliver scalable KDB-based systems, including the global KDB ticker plant for real-time and historical trading data, while collaborating with Algo and QR teams to coordinate migrations and implement data enrichment. Create novel code solutions, durable software frameworks, and reusable components that drive adoption of technical methods aligned with latest product development methodologies. Influence business, product, and technology teams to make strategic decisions on technology advancements while championing the firm's culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 7+ years applied experience
- Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Expert in one or more programming language(s) - KDB, Q language
- Demonstrated experience designing and leading adoption of agentic AI-enabled development practices (using enterprise-authorized tools within the work environment) across teams, including setting standards for human-in-the-loop validation, auditability/traceability of changes, and secure handling of sensitive data
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use and control expectations in engineering workflows, including security/resiliency implications, data sensitivity, and risk-based governance; ability to influence senior technical leaders on safe scaling patterns and reuse
- Deep understanding of KDB+tick design, data organization, and performance optimization
- Experience developing and running large datasets, optimizing query performance, and building resilient, high-availability KDB applications
- Experience collaborating with quant, algo, or trading teams to deliver data solutions
- Experience with scaling and load-balancing KDB applications
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
- Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Terraform and Kubernetes for managing production environments in public cloud
- AWS experience
- Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java)
- Experience with market data venues and vendor data platforms
