Job Summary
Principal Environmental Scientist to join the Assessment and Approvals team in Sydney. You will lead and mentor the Sydney Approvals team, drive business development by bringing in new clients, present and lead external client meetings, and manage multiple projects while developing and reviewing quality management systems. The role requires 20+ years of professional experience in environmental consulting, tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or Planning, extensive NSW regulatory approvals experience (including EIS and State/Commonwealth approvals), and experience in infrastructure/resource sector approvals. The position is based in the Sydney office with flexible working arrangements where permissible.
Required Qualifications
- 20+ years of professional experience in environmental consulting or related field
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Planning or related field
- Extensive experience in regulatory approvals within New South Wales (NSW)
- Experience with EIS and State and Commonwealth approvals
- Experience in infrastructure and/or resource sector approvals
- Ability to lead and mentor teams and manage multiple projects
- Demonstrated business development capabilities and client-facing presentation skills
- Ability to develop and review quality management systems
