Job Summary
Lead technical delivery of high-quality environmental approvals and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) documentation for Sandfire's Kalkaroo Copper-Gold project in South Australia. Provide expert input across pre-feasibility, feasibility, and project delivery phases to secure timely State, Federal, and jurisdictional approvals. Coordinate environmental studies, manage specialist consultants, and develop approvals plans, schedules, and budgets to support PFS, DFS, and operational delivery. Liaise with internal stakeholders, government, and community to satisfy heritage and approval processes while ensuring documentation meets regulatory expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role within the Mining industry
- Demonstrated experience in delivering Greenfields environmental approvals for mining projects
- Proven experience in coordinating environmental impact assessments and baseline studies
- Experience in managing external consultants and technical specialists
- Strong understanding of environmental risk assessment, EIA/ESIA processes, impact mitigation and permitting strategies
- Proficiency in QGIS or ArcGIS Pro
- Experience supporting cultural heritage processes and Traditional Owner engagement
- Demonstrated ability to work within multi-disciplinary project teams
