Principal Enterprise Applications Engineer

Job Summary
Own the technical delivery of XTG's ERP modernization by consolidating legacy platforms into a single global Dynamics 365 environment. Design, develop, and optimize enterprise solutions across F&O, Power Platform, and Azure while validating solution designs and establishing scalable data foundations. Build reusable assets including custom connectors and PCF controls, and operate production AI agents using Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry. Act as the senior technical partner to the Global Architecture team, mentoring engineers and leading complex initiatives from design through production deployment. This remote role requires the ideal candidate to be located in the DFW market.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related technology discipline
- Ten plus (10+) years of experience developing enterprise business applications
- At least five years of hands-on Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations experience
- Professional C# development experience
- .NET development experience
- Dataverse plug-ins experience
- Custom API development experience
- Deep expertise in X++ development
- Experience with the X++ extension framework
- Experience with the Chain of Command framework
- Experience with the SysOperation framework
- Experience with batch processing
- Experience with data entities
- Experience with security
- Experience with performance optimization
- Experience supporting large-scale Dynamics 365 implementations
- Experience with multi-legal-entity deployments
- Experience with multi-currency deployments
- Experience with multi-country deployments
- Experience with ERP consolidation initiatives
- Advanced Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (X++) development skills
- Strong Power Platform expertise across Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, custom connectors, and application lifecycle management (ALM)
- Experience translating business requirements into Microsoft Dynamics 365 business process models and industry-standard solutions
- Enterprise integration expertise utilizing REST APIs, OData, OAuth 2.0, Entra ID, webhooks, asynchronous messaging, and API management
- Strong data architecture and relational database design skills, including data modeling, normalization, indexing, and transaction management
- Experience with Azure services and development tools, including Azure DevOps or GitHub, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep/Terraform), and Azure AI Foundry
- Knowledge of enterprise analytics and data platforms, including Microsoft Fabric, Synapse Link, and Power BI
- Experience with master data management, canonical data models, and cross-system data governance
- Experience deploying AI- or agent-based capabilities into production environments
- Experience utilizing Azure DevOps or GitHub for source control, CI/CD pipelines, and work management
- Knowledge of Dynamics 365 industry solutions, including Advanced Warehouse Management, Project Operations, and Dual-write integrations
- Experience supporting large-scale, multi-entity ERP implementations in manufacturing, wholesale distribution, or related industries
