Principal Engineer, Test

Job Summary
Lead the verification team to understand design specifications and develop top-level and block-level test benches, including stimulus and coverage metrics. Coordinate the debug process for failing test cases with design engineers and ensure verified design blocks meet functionality, performance, and coverage requirements for sign-off. Drive improvements in test execution quality and delivery while managing risk mitigation plans and maintaining requirement traceability through the SDLC. Compile verification test summary reports at the conclusion of formal verification phases. Work within an Agile team to guide verification approaches and author test cases, with a focus on regulated software development for medical devices.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lead small to medium sized team technically and raising his/her own performance and others from time to time
- A demonstrated track record in regulated software development, preferably medical devices or other highly regulated products such as aviation software
- Experience in executing verification strategies including and not limited to functional, non-functional, reliability, performance
- Experience in re-defining test architecture and test automation frameworks
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Experienced and demonstrated superior global collaboration
- Demonstrates spirit of innovation
- Demonstrated risk taking ability and challenging status quo
- Minimum 3+ years practical software QA experience
- Expertise in ALM and JIRA tool
- Knowledge of Clear Quest, Team Center
- Strong communication skills – written & verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
- Experience in Test Automation with Selenium
- Knowledge of medical device software development is highly preferred including knowledge of standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 14971
- Bachelors / Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of related experience
Desired Qualifications
- Hand's on experience on defining the test strategy and test architecture for software applications
- Excellent planning and organization skills, and committed to delivering on aggressive deadlines
- Knowledge of Clear Quest, Team Center is preferred
- Strong communication skills – written & verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
- Experience in Test Automation with Selenium is preferred
- Knowledge of medical device software development is highly preferred including knowledge of standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 14971
