PRINCIPAL ENGINEER, SSD VALIDATION

Job Summary
Lead end-to-end SSD firmware test architecture design and quality validation for enterprise, data center, and automotive SSD products. Responsibilities include owning the overall test architecture and validation strategy, designing and implementing test solutions covering various aspects such as functionality and security, building and optimizing automation test frameworks, and leading root cause analysis of critical firmware issues. The role requires strong knowledge of SSD technologies, proficiency in programming and testing tools, and significant experience in SSD development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Microelectronics or related fields
- At least 8 years of SSD firmware test/development experience; or minimum 3 years as test architect or technical leader
- Deep expertise in NVMe/PCIe/SATA protocols and SSD core technologies: FTL, GC, WL, PLP, NAND Flash
- Proficient in Linux, Python/C/Shell, automation framework development and test tools (Fio, nvme-cli, PyNVMe, etc.)
- Experience in HW/FW co-debugging, reliability validation and mass production test system
- Strong architecture design, problem-solving and cross-team leadership skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in enterprise/data center/automotive SSD, ZNS, CXL, NVMe-oF, Secure Boot or ASIL
- Led end-to-end test system/team setup for mass production
- Storage-related patents or publications
