Job Summary
Principal Engineer, Router Architect responsible for defining high-bandwidth Ethernet routing and PCIe backbone architectures for automotive ADAS and cockpit systems. Develop L2/L3 switch fabrics with TSN for deterministic latency, integrate PCIe Gen5/6 with SR-IOV virtualization, and implement ASIL-B/D safety mechanisms. Collaborate to bridge center- and edge-compute needs, ensure secure on-board communication, and meet ISO 26262 and AEC-Q100 requirements. Lead design of NoC/CHI interconnects, virtualization, security, clock/reset/power management for rapid boot, and advanced data fabric integration across SoCs and AI accelerators. Requires 12+ years in high-speed networking or SoC architecture with 5+ years in automotive-grade silicon, deep TSN expertise, PCIe and automotive Ethernet protocol mastery, and system integration experience across AXI/CHI and IOMMU configurations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (PhD desirable)
- 12+ years in high-speed networking or SoC architecture
- 5 years focused on Automotive-grade silicon
- TSN Mastery: IEEE 802.1 TSN protocols and hardware implementation
- Expert knowledge of PCIe (Root Complex/Endpoint) and Automotive Ethernet (10BASE-T1S to 10G+ levels)
- Familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety flows and AEC-Q100 reliability requirements
- System Integration: AXI/CHI bus protocols and IOMMU configurations
- Experience designing Ethernet routing engines and PCIe backbones for automotive applications
- Knowledge of ASIL-B/D requirements and functional safety integration
- Strong debugging, simulation, and architectural validation skills

- Experience designing high-bandwidth routing engines and bus fabrics
- Knowledge of SR-IOV for virtualization
- Security features such as Secure On-board Communication (SecOC)
- Deterministic networking and real-time traffic shaping
- Experience with NoC/CHI interconnects and multicore SoCs
- L2/L3 switch fabric architecture
- End-to-End safety and ECC/Parity/BIST hardware safety mechanisms
- Telemetry and vehicle networks cybersecurity
