Job Summary
Senior Principal Engineer focusing on reservoir simulation for CCS and gas storage. Lead reservoir modeling efforts, develop reservoir models, and run dynamic simulations to optimize injection/production strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide reservoir performance predictions, development planning, and asset optimization. Analyze fluids, cores, well tests, and injection/production data to enhance understanding and inform risk mitigation. Produce graphs and reports to communicate field performance to management; maintain awareness of CCS industry developments. Requires Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 7+ years of reservoir engineering experience with CCS-focused simulation, and proficiency with Eclipse, INTERSECT, CMG, and Petrel RE; knowledge of CO2EOR, core analysis, and petrophysics. Travel may be required. Hybrid work schedule in Houston or Midland, TX; compensation range $185,000–$250,000 with full benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 7 years of Reservoir Engineering experience with a focus on reservoir simulation for CCS projects
- Proficiency with reservoir simulation tools such as Eclipse, INTERSECT, and CMG
- Proficiency with Petrel RE workflows
- Experience with Nodal Analysis
- Knowledge of CO2 Enhanced Oil Recovery
- Working familiarity with Core Analysis and Petrophysics
- Preferred: Experience with programming languages
