Job Summary
Principal Engineer for Region E in the Central Teams Advanced Development Team at Micron, responsible for owning and sustaining semiconductor manufacturing integration and processes within the fab. You will troubleshoot manufacturing issues using structured methodologies (root cause analysis, FMEA, SPC, 8D), analyze process data to identify trends and opportunities, define and adjust process parameters across semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve process excursions and implement corrective actions. You will support qualification and integration of new equipment, materials, and process changes, and drive yield improvement, cost reduction, and productivity initiatives to enable high-volume manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or process engineering
- Experience resolving manufacturing process issues using root cause analysis
- Working knowledge of statistical and process control systems (SPC, FDC, APC, or similar)
- Ability to collaborate across engineering and production teams to solve complex problems
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering or a related field
- Experience in Region E module or similar semiconductor process areas
- Experience driving yield improvement and process optimization efforts
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and lead initiatives to completion
