Job Summary
Principal Engineer to join Microchip Technology's Quality Team, acting as the main quality liaison with suppliers, customers, and internal teams; lead corrective actions and continuous improvement; inspect conformance of materials and products; report on quality metrics and non-conformances; visit suppliers/customers to assess quality; support new supplier onboarding and First Article Inspections; conduct internal and supplier audits to ISO9001 and company standards; deliver staff training; collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and sales; maintain technical competence in a fast-paced environment; perform additional quality engineering tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship Required - ITAR Site
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent
- 10 years of experience in manufacturing
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Familiar with ISO9001 requirements
