Job Summary
Principal Engineer, Product Development Engineering leads product development initiatives from pre-silicon through first silicon and full qualification, develops and implements test strategies and screening methodologies to optimize quality and reliability, conducts electrical and functional failure analysis to identify root causes and corrective actions, collaborates with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve complex technical challenges, defines specifications and stress screening methods, monitors quality metrics, drives continuous improvements, partners with system and firmware teams to enhance product resilience, mentors junior engineers, and communicates findings to senior leadership to enable on-time product launches. Strong emphasis on leadership, cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and AI tool knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in product development engineering
- Deep understanding of electrical failure analysis methodologies
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, including statistical analysis
- Experience with product lifecycle management from design through qualification and production
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proven leadership capability with experience mentoring and developing engineering teams
- Self-motivated and passionate about solving complex technical problems
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Experience with cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management across diverse teams
- AI tools knowledge is must
