Principal Engineer - Pipeline

Job Summary
Lead onshore pipeline design and integrity efforts across FEED to EPCM execution. Responsible for preparation and checking of pipeline specifications, data sheets, material take-offs, TBEs, construction SOWs, and detailed drawings (alignment sheets, route maps, isometrics, field area layouts). Conduct and verify pipeline mechanical calculations, spill/incorrect design checks, and stress analyses using CAESAR II and AutoPIPE. Manage vendor documents for specialty items (scraper launcher/receiver, barred tee, induction bends, valves, fittings, corrosion coupons, etc.) and contribute to pipeline construction specifications and external coating/FJC. Proficient in pipeline codes and standards, route mapping, crossing analyses, and related technical reports. Requires strong team collaboration within EPC/EPCM projects and mastery of MS Office, AutoCAD, CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, and MathCAD. KBR sustainability and decarbonization focus highlighted along with ESG commitments.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in feasibility, conceptual, basic engineering, FEED, detailed design, and EPC/EPCM projects
- Experience in Pipeline Basis of Design, Plan & Profile / Pipeline Alignment Sheets, Pipeline Route Maps, Pipeline Data Sheets, Pipeline Material Grade & Wall Thickness Calculations, Specifications of Pipeline Materials, Valve Datasheets, Corrosion Control Plans, Stress Analysis Reports
- Knowledge of Pipeline Codes & Standards, EPC Projects, technical evaluation of various vendors related to pipeline ancillaries and other equipment
- Ability to prepare engineering deliverables as per company technical competency standards
- Software knowledge: CAESAR II and/or AutoPIPE, AutoCAD, MathCAD
- Experience with pipeline-related technical reports such as route selection, valve station location selections, and crossing analyses
- Familiarity with scrapers stations, BVS, and related piping design
