Principal Engineer - Liveable Places

Lead pre-design development and detailed design for highways, active travel, and public realm schemes, ensuring compliance with UK standards, CDM regulations, and best practice. Coordinate multidisciplinary designs including structures, environment, and geology while acting as technical lead and checker. Balance project management, design leadership, and assurance duties by supporting junior staff through technical mentoring. Work closely with clients and diverse teams to shape safer, greener, and more inclusive streets. This hands-on role within the Liveable Places team offers exposure to landmark projects and a culture that values new ideas and diverse perspectives.
