Job Summary
The Principal Engineer will drive the design, architecture, and delivery of large-scale, high-performance platforms for Fixed Income Credit Research and Global Liquidity. Responsibilities include leading architectural vision for financial systems, building cloud-native platforms, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Candidates must have over 10 years of software engineering experience, with high proficiency in building distributed systems, and knowledge of financial systems. Leadership skills for mentoring and collaboration with cross-functional teams are also essential.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- 3+ years in a principal/staff-level role
- Solid understanding of financial systems, products, and data flows
- Demonstrated ability to lead architecture for large-scale, mission-critical systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- Expertise building distributed systems
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Go)
- Experience with public cloud (AWS is a plus)
- Exposure/Experience in Snowflake
- 3+ years ReactJS experience
- 5+ years' experience in SQL Server/RDBMS
- Fixed Income knowledge is a plus
