Job Summary
Principal/Senior Principal Facilities Engineer at Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) to join a team focused on the design, maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement of manufacturing and operational equipment onsite in Clearfield, UT. Responsibilities include maintaining and improving equipment reliability, collaborating with maintenance/production/quality teams, scheduling contractors and providing SOWs, owning equipment with PM plans and critical spare parts, performing RCCA and E-FMEA analyses, tracking performance metrics, communicating machine downtime, supporting operations IPT, and ensuring safety and efficiency to meet production goals and cost objectives. Requires strong organizational, cross-functional communication, and written/verbal skills; travel up to 10% and the ability to obtain security clearance and program access. Preferred qualifications include experience with high-rate manufacturing facilities and industrial automation; familiarity with Beckhoff, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Kuka, Fanuc; knowledge of VFDs and servo-controlled systems; ability to interpret building and utility drawings; proficiency with Microsoft Office; and a 9/80 schedule with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of relevant experience; OR Master of Science in STEM with 3 years of relevant experience; OR PhD in STEM with 1 year of relevant experience
- Experience in Power Systems, Power, Electrical, Electronics, Construction, Mechanical Design, Engineering, Design, Facilities, Operations, and/or Aerospace
- Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Secret Clearance within a reasonable period
- Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period
