Principal Engineer

Principal Engineer leads and coordinates complex, non-routine engineering projects spanning process, unit operations, and equipment within pharmaceutical/biotech settings. Responsibilities include establishing engineering policies for a major segment, interpreting and modifying company-wide policies, developing multi-discipline budgets for large projects, applying advanced technical principles to new concepts, conducting in-depth subject-area investigations, planning and coordinating a staff of engineers and technicians, and leading cross-functional teams (research, manufacturing, process development, utilities, facilities, QA, and validation) to implement high-priority system or process modifications. Preferred qualifications emphasize working knowledge of validated pharmaceutical processes, GMP/GLP familiarity, documentation in regulated environments, and ability to apply engineering science to production; strong problem solving, technical reporting, and verbal communication skills are expected. The role is described as a 1-year contract with potential extension, located in Juncos, Puerto Rico.
