Principal Engineer - Autonomy

Lead engineering support for active safety, advanced driver assistance systems, and unmanned ground vehicle projects involving broad design assignments of considerable scope. Perform complex software development, architecture design, engineering calculations, and investigations according to Oshkosh standards. Develop control strategies in virtual simulation environments using MATLAB, Simulink, and hardware-in-the-loop simulators, then transfer strategies to vehicle testing and production. Manage multiple priorities, establish project schedules and budgets, and provide mentorship to entry-level engineers. Research and update standard engineering methodologies while collaborating with internal teams and external industry consortiums. Support proposal development for funding advanced control efforts and assist feasibility studies. Utilize model-based software tools and write embedded C/C++ software to configure and control hardware.
