Job Summary
Principal Engineer - Automation drives complex, multi-disciplinary engineering initiatives in the healthcare/pharmaceutical domain. Responsible for designing products/processes/equipment/systems with risk-based approaches, conducting medium- to large-size projects, maintaining project controls for cost/scope/schedule, collaborating with marketing, product development, and manufacturing, performing economic analyses and feasibility studies, and mentoring others. Will interact with senior management and external personnel, balance financial targets with customer/clinical needs, and apply novel engineering concepts while ensuring regulatory and operational alignment. Travel up to 20-30% is expected; a Bachelor's (preferred) in Engineering/science and substantial engineering experience underpin the role. A post-graduate degree is desired. Must be capable of working with little supervision and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver complex solutions.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelors Degree in Engineering, science, or closely related discipline is desired, or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence
- 8+ years of significant engineering and/or operational experience
- post-graduate education/degree is desired, and may contribute towards the desired years of experience
- Has demonstrated competency within a discipline
- Travel - 20-30%
