Job Summary
Design and tune audio systems for the automotive environment, investigating new technologies and best practices to create novel solutions for acoustic systems. Develop and document worldwide acoustic systems tools and best practices while leveraging Harman's brand and technology leadership to drive cutting-edge solutions in the car, enterprise, and connected ecosystem. This role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or Acoustics with 8+ years of audio experience, plus 30% domestic and international travel. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Acoustics
- 8+ years of experience in an audio related field
- Specific experience in 3 or more of the following fields: acoustical engineering, transducer engineering, digital signal processing, amplifier engineering, psycho-acoustics and recording arts
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Engineering
- 7+ years of experience in an audio related field
- Knowledge of Matlab, C, C++, algorithm development and programming
- Detailed knowledge of acoustic theory, sound reproduction and sound system tuning
- Passion for acoustics and/or sound recording/reproduction
- Musical background (performing, teaching, producing, hobby, enjoy concerts, etc)
