Principal Engineer - 1 Year FTC (we have office locations in Cambridge, Leeds and London)

Hands-on Principal Engineer who defines architectural directions, identifies risks and dependencies, mentors squads, and collaborates with product managers, bioinformaticians and other subject matter experts to evolve a roadmap for change. You will contribute to a bio-pipelines platform spanning on-prem HPC and AWS, using Python and NextFlow, APIs, and data processing tools; design and evolve API schemas; drive DevOps practices (CI/CD, IaC, monitoring); work with databases (Postgres/Aurora, MongoDB, Elastic/OpenSearch); leverage cloud experience (AWS) and open standards like FHIR/GA4GH; communicate with remote and in-person teams; and help shape technical practices and architecture across the organization. Salary From: £103,400 pa; this is a 1 Year FTC. Office locations include London, Cambridge and Leeds with blended/hybrid working arrangements.
