Job Summary
Principal Device modeling & characterization engineer focused on digital/analog/RF compact device model development with emphasis on automation and potential to evolve into a project lead. Collaborates with ML experts and central engineering teams to enhance model efficiency across technology platforms, drives best practices and standardization in data selection, model extraction, QA/validation, and circuit benchmarking, coordinates cross-functional teams (Device Model Characterization Lab/PDK/Device/Process Integration/Design Manual/Test chip Design/Layout) to execute PDK/model projects and resolve related issues, stays current with industry trends in spice modeling, and provides technical updates and customer support on device compact models.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering or Physics
- Fluent English (written & verbal)
- Fundamental knowledge of semiconductor device physics related to compact modeling
- Understanding of semiconductor device noise and matching behaviors
- Coding skills in Python, Perl or other computing languages
