Job Summary
Support electrical power generation, conversion, and distribution system design for the Sentinel Launch Systems Infrastructure Facility, including circuit protective requirements for ground systems. Conduct electrical system analysis, develop test procedures, and manage power architectures while ensuring coordination between facility design and integration teams. Author and release engineering documentation, technical drawings, and specifications for weapon system integration. Lead diverse teams through mentoring and coaching, attend program milestone reviews, and maintain status of program activities. Requires a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent STEM related discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) from an accredited university
- 5 years of relevant experience
- 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree
- 1 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- 8 years of relevant experience
- 6 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree
- 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- Demonstrated ability to foster diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement, including receiving mentoring and coaching from leads
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with high-power and/or high-frequency systems, including power electronics
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC design, shielding techniques, and thermal management for electronic systems
- Authorship and release of engineering documentation including technical drawings, specifications, and test procedures
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, milestone reviews, and government contracting
- Experience maintaining and reporting status of program activities
- Electrical Professional Engineering (P.E.) license
- Must be able to understand the intent of Weapon System design at a general level and follow direction on how that informs facility power system design and equipment design decisions
- Must possess fundamental electrical engineering skills
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must demonstrate leadership principles – Integrity, respect, organizational, communication etc
- Must be able to coordinate electrical system engineering content and work products
- Must be able to ensure appropriate coordination between facility electrical design and other integration teams
- Must be able to possess strong interpersonal skills to work effectively to understand system level interdependencies that impact electrical requirements and design constraints
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels
- Must be able to attend internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates
- Must be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Must be able to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification
