Job Summary
Manage performance management, career development, and hiring efforts for the Land & Shipboard Effector Guidance Systems section. Oversee direct line management activities including communication, talent acquisition, and personnel issue resolution while ensuring compliance with company policies. Collaborate with other sections and teams to support departmental initiatives, manage timecards, and provide technical guidance for approximately 15-20% of the role. Work onsite in Tucson, AZ on a 9/80 schedule with relocation assistance available. Requires active U.S. government security clearance and a Bachelor's degree in STEM with eight years of engineering experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum of 8 years of prior Engineering experience
- Engineering experience in System Engineering (SE) or Production Engineering (PE) or Production Test Engineering (PTE)
- Experience in analysis, testing, measurement or integration of electrical products or systems
- Experience leading cross-functional teams or projects
- Experience with missile guidance section or subassembly production and development
- Strong understanding of all phases of the product development lifecycle
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Experience working in a matrix organization
- Experience serving as a Responsible Engineering Authority (REA), Control Account Manager (CAM), and/or Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL)
- Failure investigation, root cause identification, and corrective action implementation
- Experience in production support of RF guidance systems
- Strong emotional intelligence skills (i.e., self-awareness, self-management, empathy, social awareness, relationship management)
- Strong track record for working effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills
- Strong engineering development discipline and process advocacy
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
