Job Summary
Senior Principal Electrical Engineer responsible for designing electrical power systems for data centers, including electrical distribution, generators, UPS, PDUs, and switchgear. Lead multidisciplinary design efforts, produce construction documents and specifications, review shop drawings and RFIs, and coordinate with clients and stakeholders. Utilize AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP to develop electrical construction models, respond to RFPs, and manage project scope, schedule, and budget. Must have extensive experience with data-center/mission-critical facilities, knowledge of power system design, and ability to guide design teams through delivery and commissioning phases. Strong client-facing communication, team leadership, and adherence to codes and standards (NEC, life safety), with proficiency in power system analysis and equipment sizing; experience with BIM and coordination software a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Experience with design of electrical power systems for data centers
- Proficiency with AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP
- Knowledge of NEC and life-safety codes
- Strong communication and leadership in project delivery
- Ability to work independently and lead design teams
