Job Summary
Design electronic circuit boards featuring MCUs, high-speed communication busses, and power distribution systems for flight avionics and guidance platforms. Lead rapid prototype construction and testing using standard and application-specific lab tools to verify design integrity. Mentor earlier career engineers through hands-on coaching and project guidance while developing detailed design documentation and CAD drawings. Collaborate with mechanical, system, and test teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical components into overall vehicle designs. Ensure all designs meet industry quality, reliability, safety, and defense export control regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in defense or aerospace
- Proficiency in electrical design software such as Altium Designer or Cadence
- Experience designing with high-performance MCUs, high-speed digital, analog, power, and interface ICs
- Strong understanding of power systems, analog/digital electronics, and circuit design
- Strong performance in schematic, layout, and stackup design for high-speed signals and power delivery
Desired Qualifications
- Security clearance or the ability to obtain one
- Familiarity with MIL-STD and other defense industry standards
- Hands-on experience with hardware prototyping and testing
- Experience in the defense industry, particularly with weapons systems and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)
