Job Summary
Principal Electrical Engineer to design electrical power systems for municipal water/wastewater projects in Tampa, FL; lead design of medium/low voltage distribution, motor controls, lighting, and grounding; manage projects and junior engineers; coordinate with Control Systems and Process Mechanical groups; establish design criteria, perform design calculations, develop one-line diagrams and control schematics, and serve as Engineer of Record; conduct field inspections, condition assessments, and oversee construction; perform power systems studies with arc flash analysis using ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or similar software; participate in regional/national knowledge sharing; travel up to 25% for site visits and client meetings; requires 12+ years of experience, bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, and a Florida PE license; strong knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NFPA 820, AutoCAD, and MS Office; mentorship and leadership of junior engineers; involvement in business development and project scoping; commitment to delivering sustainable engineering solutions.
