Job Summary
Define the overarching DevSecOps strategy, cloud architecture, and automated delivery pipelines for mission-critical software platforms. Lead architectural design for container hardening, policy-driven OS security, SBOM management, and continuous monitoring across airborne, maritime, and ground environments. Architect, scale, and optimize enterprise-grade CI/CD frameworks using GitLab CI, Kubernetes, and RPM package management while enforcing rigorous secure coding governance. Direct the integration of SAST, DAST, and SCA tooling, and oversee on-premises infrastructure resilience including vCenter and development networks. Evaluate emerging AI methodologies for pipeline optimization and mentor engineering teams across all levels.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. or higher in an engineering field (Computer, Software, Math, Physics, Electrical, or related technical discipline)
- 12+ years of progressive experience in DevSecOps or software engineering
- 3+ years in a dedicated technical leadership or architectural role focused on DevSecOps
- Strong proficiency in a strongly typed language (preferably C++) for developing, reviewing, and auditing complex software systems
- extensive scripting capabilities in Python and Bash
- Proven track record of architecting and managing production-grade container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes) in disconnected/degraded/decentralized environments
- Deep expert-level knowledge of Linux operating systems (RHEL, Ubuntu) and low-level Linux networking, network architecture, and advanced troubleshooting
- Deep familiarity with building software systems subject to national security requirements, including hands-on experience with STIG compliance, continuous monitoring, and security auditing tools
- Extensive experience driving technical execution within Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Experience implementing metrics, logs, tracing and other telemetry across complex microservices to rapidly isolate failure modes in both on-prem and cloud environments
- US Citizen
Desired Qualifications
- Active US Secret or Top Secret clearance
- Experience with zero-trust architectures
- Experience with Linux installation automation using utilities such as Kickstart or Subiquity
- Advanced certifications in Cloud (AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer Professional) and/or Security (CISSP, CSSLP, Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist)
- Experience with automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using advanced Ansible playbooks
- Hands-on experience implementing AI-driven code analysis or automated testing utilities into continuous integration pipelines
