Job Summary
Principal DevOps Engineer focused on architectural leadership and strategy to design infrastructure and deployment tools that improve delivery speed and reliability. Acts as a technology-neutral thought leader, balancing long-term business outcomes with immediate technical needs, and influencing business and IT stakeholders on architectural direction and technical debt risks. Responsibilities include designing foundational frameworks, driving CI/CD adoption, implementing observability and performance monitoring across the SDLC, and leading cross-functional teams through complex negotiations and planning. Required capabilities include delivering scalable, enterprise-grade solutions with governance and robust IT standards, and a strong foundation in at least two core areas from infrastructure/network design, application development, APIs, middleware, servers/storage, database operations, virtualization, or cloud technologies; plus Agile/DevOps experience and familiarity with cloud-native environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, System Analysis, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of high-level design and implementation experience in IT
- Deep knowledge in at least two of the following: Infrastructure/Network Design, Application Development, APIs, Middleware, Servers/Storage, Database Operations, Virtualization, or Cloud Technologies
- Strong experience with Agile methodologies and planning tools like Azure DevOps
- Familiarity with cloud-native environments and modern tooling
