Job Summary
BIM/CAD design role in Ramboll’s Rail division (REC) based in India, focusing on detailed 2D/3D drawings, rail engineering plan and profile work, 3D modeling (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit), and coordination across project teams. Responsibilities include producing and checking general arrangement drawings and road/junction/utility drawings, managing project data and metadata, adhering to the BIM Execution Plan and digital delivery processes, and supporting BIM strategists and discipline model coordinators to advance projects. Requires international project experience, strong CAD software proficiency, and a collaborative, self-motivated approach.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Civil / Electrical Engineering or ITI Trained Professional with 8 to 10 years of professional experience
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2D & 3D and any other design software like MicroStation2D, Civil 3D, Revit, AutoLisp
- Experience in Rail /Transport market
- Knowledge of shared project software e.g., Filery/Projectwise/ Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)/Chaos/Server/Folder structure/Chaos Desktop and Client DMS
- Experience in Collision detection, IFC mapping, model attribution, and parametric modeling
- Experience in data coordination for complex projects
- Experience in preparation of general arrangement drawings, plan and profile, layouts, setting out drawings of urban/ rural roads, road junctions, road signages and drainage drawings
- Must have experience on international project
- Self-motivated, team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Flexible attitude with changing deadlines
- Willingness to widen experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Good level of written and spoken English
