Principal Designer - BIM Electrical

Job Summary
Develop and maintain 3D BIM models for electrical building systems using Autodesk Revit, producing detailed construction drawings including lighting layouts, power distribution, and single-line diagrams. Provide direct project support and ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans, Level of Development standards, and multidisciplinary coordination workflows with Architecture, Structure, and MEP teams. Perform QA/QC checks on models and drawings to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and completeness while utilizing Revit families and content libraries aligned with project requirements. This role involves working independently with limited supervision on large-scale projects primarily within the Middle East region. The candidate will contribute to BIM capability development, provide training on modeling best practices, and assist in resolving technical challenges related to Revit workflows and clash detection.
Required Qualifications
- 10-15 years of experience in Revit-based electrical design and drafting
- Demonstrated experience on large-scale Middle East projects (commercial, residential, hospitality, or infrastructure)
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP) for electrical systems
- Strong understanding of BIM processes, LOD, BEP, and multidisciplinary coordination workflows
- Experience in clash detection and coordination tools (e.g., Navisworks)
- Knowledge of electrical systems design principles and applicable codes/standards
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360 platforms
- Familiarity with Middle East authority regulations and international standards (IEC, local authority requirements)
