Principal Design Coordinator

Job Summary
Lead piping design teams and coordinate interdisciplinary efforts to deliver GA drawings, isometrics, and 3D models while ensuring compliance with ASME/API/ANSI/ISO codes and client requirements. Define project scope, allocate resources, develop execution plans, schedules, and budgets; supervise design reviews, material specifications, routing plans, and stress analyses; mentor designers/drafters; engage clients in technical discussions; enforce quality and safety standards; manage risk and deliverables on time. Requires 15+ years in piping design, Plant 3D CAD proficiency, strong leadership, and ability to coordinate with construction, procurement, and commissioning teams.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years experience in piping design
- Proficiency with CAD and Plant 3D
- Experience with GA drawings, isometrics, 3D models
- Knowledge of ASME B31.3/B31.4, API 570
- Ability to lead and mentor designers/drafters
- Strong communication skills
- Driver's license
- Ability to travel to project sites
