Job Summary
Lead on specialist building conservation and design advice within the borough's planning/development management function. Provide input to policies affecting the historic environment, lead proactive conservation projects, and contribute to urban design and regeneration initiatives. Responsible for mentoring junior officers, ensuring high-quality policy work, and engaging with applicants, stakeholders and the community. Role is based at Laurence House, Catford with a hybrid working pattern; requires traditional conservation knowledge alongside openness to new ideas and sustainable approaches.
Required Qualifications
- Fully trained degree or postgraduate town planning and/or historic building conservation or architecture qualification
- Membership of IHBC, RIBA, RTPI
