Job Summary
Principal Data Engineer to drive data engineering across Takeda ICC Bengaluru’s Global Manufacturing and Supply Organization. Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS native tech and Databricks to support increasing data sources, volumes, and complexity; enable real-time analytics, process trending, modelling, and predictive analytics in a GxP environment from an IT perspective. Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models that enhance BI tools and dashboards, ensuring compliance with QMS, SDLC, and project lifecycle standards. Requires 9+ years in data engineering, strong SQL and database skills, experience with Databricks/Oracle/MongoDB, understanding of MES/ERP/LIMS, and proficiency in Agile/SCRUM; fluent in English and able to communicate across cross-functional teams. Hybrid work arrangement in Bengaluru, IND.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in a Technical/Natural Science (with focus on IT) or equivalent
- 9+ years of experience in data engineering
- In-Depth knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases
- Strong expertise in data modeling and modern database technologies (Databricks, Oracle, MongoDB)
- Basic understanding of batch-based manufacturing processes
- Understanding of Shop-Floor systems (MES, ERP, LIMS, Historian)
- Understanding of Agile/SCRUM methodologies
- Understanding of good engineering practices (DevSecOps, source-code versioning, automated testing)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
