Job Summary
Lead architecture decisions for data pipelines and platforms, architect and implement ETL/ELT and streaming ingestion across enterprise source systems, define standards for data engineering practices, instrument data platforms with observability and monitoring, collaborate with governance and MDM teams, mentor engineers, and explore new AI/data tooling to mature Lennar’s data fabric for analytics and AI at scale.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in data architecture design and data platform engineering
- Data modeling, cloud data warehousing, and lakehouse concepts
- ETL/ELT processes, strategies, and pipeline reliability
- Monitoring, observability, and error handling for data systems
- SDLC, workflow best practices, code reviews, and QA/testing methodologies
- Strong experience with AWS data services: S3, Glue, Athena, MWAA (Airflow), Kafka (MSK), Lambda, EMR, CloudWatch
- Snowflake Data Cloud familiarity
- dbt experience
- Apache Iceberg and lakehouse table formats
- Version control (Git)
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Data governance, security, and compliance concepts
- Incremental and CDC ingestion methods
- REST APIs
- Orchestration tools (Airflow/MWAA) and data lineage/observability tooling
