Job Summary
Lead architectural and engineering design for Data Center projects, working with multi-disciplinary teams to define facility programs, develop base plans, and create construction documents for life sciences and industrial manufacturing clients. Stamp and sign documents, conduct site visits as a construction administrator, and manage RFIs and submittals throughout the project lifecycle. Guide junior staff while coordinating with process engineers on industrial installations and researching code requirements for hazardous areas. Requires a licensed professional engineer with 10+ years of experience in greenfield designs, ISO clean rooms, and renovations, along with proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
Required Qualifications
- Specialized knowledge of design in Data Center
- A minimum of 10 years of facilities architectural & engineering design experience with a proven ability to lead the facility design from the programming/concept phase through the production of construction documents, permit acquisition, and site implementation on multi-disciplinary projects
- Prior working knowledge of code studies/evaluations for life science facilities and hazardous/classified areas
- A strong working knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes (IBC in particular)
- Experience in the development and creation of construction documents for life sciences
- Experience in the design of greenfield facilities and in the renovations of existing buildings
- Experience in the design of ISO clean rooms, labs, and processing spaces
- Experience in coordinating design with process engineers on industrial installations of production equipment
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact effectively with our team members and clients
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project
- A willingness to travel for project requirements including installation and start-up activities, client and company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, and conventions
- Licensed professional Engineer or Architect
