Job Summary
Oversee the end-to-end data pipeline (ELT) landscape, managing ingestion from disparate sources through orchestration, scheduling, and monitoring to ensure reliability. Lead the design and build-out of the transformation layer in dbt, establishing modular, tested models with consistent business definitions for Sigma and AI agents. Partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Finance to translate workflows into scalable conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Establish engineering standards including code review, CI/CD, and automated testing while enforcing data governance initiatives for metadata, lineage, and quality monitoring. This role drives the vision for the VetSoft Analytics Team, shaping how leaders and product teams act on trustworthy data to serve veterinary practices globally.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or data architecture
- demonstrated success leading and developing engineering teams
- Expert-level SQL skills
- hands-on experience building transformations in dbt
- strong data modeling ability across relational, semi-structured, and unstructured data sets
- experience with cloud data warehousing platforms
- experience with modern ELT and orchestration tooling
